Chaparral is in search of a new football coach.
Rod Dobbs, who led the Wolverines over the past four seasons, has stepped down, according to athletic director Rob Johnson. His teams were 24-19, including three-straight seven-win seasons.
"Coach Dobbs has been a great leader with our football program and our school for the last 10 years," Johnson said in a statement. "Coach Dobbs' passion and energy for the Chaparral football program will always be remembered."
Before he was head coach, Dobbs spent six seasons as Chaparral's offensive coordinator. He was also the head coach at Prairie View from 2006-08.
Chaparral went 7-4 last season in Class 5A.
