AURORA — The state volleyball tournaments are this weekend, and on Monday 12 teams in each classification found out their path to a championship.

Play begins with pool play on Friday morning at 8 a.m., with matches running throughout the day. That pool play concludes with four matches per class on Saturday morning, and then semifinals will be in the afternoon on Saturday. Championship matches are scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
Every match will be played at the Denver Coliseum.
The state brackets in 3A, 4A and 5A were based entirely on results at regional play. In 1A and 2A, the eight regional champions automatically advanced, and then each class added four at-large teams based upon the next four highest qualifiers in the RPI standings that were updated on Monday morning.
The five No. 1 seeds are Fossil Ridge (5A), Lewis-Palmer (4A), Eaton (3A), Dayspring Christian (2A) and Fleming (1A).
All but 5A have a defending champion in the field. Those are No. 3 Cheyenne Mountain (4A), Eaton (3A), No. 6 Yuma (2A) and No. 12 Otis (1A).
