For the first time since before the 2014 season, there is a new team at the top of the field hockey rankings.

Following Palmer Ridge's 1-0 win over Colorado Academy on Saturday, the Bears have ascended to the No. 1 spot. The win snapped a 78-game unbeaten streak for the Mustangs.

Colorado Academy fell one to spot to No. 2 with the loss.

Denver East jumped one spot to land at No. 3 with Kent Denver coming in at No. 4 and Cherry Creek rounded out the poll, landing at No. 5.

There were no new teams in this week's rankings.

The ranking, voted upon by coaches, is the official poll of the Association. Rankings are released each Monday during the season.
