Photos: No. 4 Eaglecrest boys hoops dispatches Cherry Creek

CENTENNIAL — No. 4 Eaglecrest boys basketball had a little trouble with Cherry Creek early, but used a big third quarter to pull away and win 62-47 Wednesday night.

Sophomore Colbey Ross led the way for Eaglecrest, dropping a team-high 19 points and a team-high six assists. Senior Blend Avdili was close behind, pouring in 18 points and grabbing five boards.

Eaglecrest (16-4, 10-1 Centennial League) stays atop their league, tied with No. 3 Overland. They will face Cherokee Trail away Friday night.

With the loss, Cherry Creek (14-6, 10-5) stays in fourth place in the league and will travel to Overland Friday night, looking to rebound.
