AURORA - Rain interrupted the final matches of the 3A and 4A
Girls Tennis Individual State Championships on Friday, but the Colorado State High School Activities Association is on schedule to crown champions in all three classifications - 3A, 4A and 5A - in Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Denver on Saturday.
Updated schedules for each classification can be found below:
- Class 5A: The 5A championships had a delayed start on Friday, but it was able to complete all of its scheduled matches. Play will resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday with semifinal matches. The championship and third-place matches will begin no earlier than 11 a.m. All competition and the awards presentation will take place at Denver City Park. - Class 4A: Rain halted play in the 4A tournament Friday night, so play will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the matches that got interrupted. The second round of playbacks will begin around 10 a.m. with the championship match scheduled for 11 a.m. The third-place match will begin following a 30-minute rest for the competitors. - Class 3A: Rain halted play in five matches at the 3A championships Friday night. Play will resume Saturday at 8 a.m. with the conclusion of these matches. The second round of playbacks will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the championship match at 10:30 a.m. The third-place match will begin following a 30-minute rest period for the competitors.
