Hardy Kalisher, among the state's elite soccer coaches, has been selected to coach in the 2017 High School All-American game for boys soccer.

The game, set for Dec. 2, will be played in Orlando, Fla. The event is sponsored by Adidas, Topdrawer Soccer and Continental Tire.

Players selected to play in the game, which is now in its 17th year, will be announced at the end of October.

Kalisher was among six coaches selected, and will coach the West team.

Boulder boys soccer is 8-1-1 this season, ranked No. 2 in this week's CHSAANow.com poll, and is also No. 2 in the latest RPI standings. The Panthers are defending champions, having gone 20-0-0 last season, capping their title run with an epic 14-round shootout win over rival Broomfield.

Boulder also won the 5A title in 2012, and advanced to the final in 2014.
