Brad Kidwell is coming home.

Green Mountain has hired Kidwell as its new baseball coach. Athletic director Autumn Sereno confirmed the hire to CHSAANow.com via email on Thursday.

He replaces Brad Madden, who won consecutive state championships (2014-15). Madden took over as the baseball coach at Ralston Valley earlier this summer.

Before getting into coaching, Kidwell had an 18-year career on Wall Street. He has 17 years of baseball coaching experience, including a stint as the head coach of the Rams. Most recently, Kidwell was an assistant at Colorado Christian University.

He played college baseball at UCLA and worked as a scout for the Kansas City Royals.

"I am unbelievably excited to be back at Green Mountain High School," Kidwell said in a statement. "What the program has accomplished during Coach Madden’s tenure is nothing short of remarkable. I had such a rewarding experience during the time I was the head coach at GM that It just feels right being back. I look forward to getting back on the field and working with our student-athletes."

The Rams went 15-4 last year and the season came to an end with a 9-3 loss to Longmont in Class 4A districts.
