Defending champion Holly leads the pack with the No. 1 seed in the Class 1A baseball regional and state tournament bracket that was released on Monday.

The Wildcats posted an 11-2 record. One of those two losses was at the hands of Granada, who they will face in the first round on Saturday after Granada snagged the No. 8 seed.

A strong Fleming team (last year's runner-up) fit in the No. 2 spot with just two losses — both against 2A teams (Sedgwick County and Haxtun). Fleming will face No. 7 Nucla.

No. 3-seeded Cheyenne Wells will face No. 6-seeded Stratton/Liberty in the other game on that side of the bracket.

Eads and Kiowa make up the final matchup in the bracket and will play from the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds, respectively.

First round and semifinal games will be played at All-City Field and Metro State on May 13. The championship, played at All-Star Park, is May 18 at 11 a.m.
