(2) Pueblo South 64, (7) Pueblo West 62
But it's the No. 2-seeded Colts who will represent Pueblo this year in the Final 4. David Simental was fouled on a 3-pointer and sank each free throw to make it a one-point game. But that's as close as they would get.
It was the second time South has beaten West on the year and the second time proved to be the most fruitful.
The Colts will take on Lewis-Palmer in the Final 4 on Friday.
(1) Valor Christian 60, (9) Mead 51
They head back to the Final 4 and look to return to the state championship game where they lost to Pueblo West a year ago.
(12) Golden 59, (13) Evergreen 52
Golden beat its league rival to advance to the Final 4. A complete recap is available here.
(6) Lewis-Palmer 80, (3) D'Evelyn 77
No. 3 D'Evelyn scored five points in the closing seconds to send the game into overtime. It took two extra sessions, but No. 6 Lewis-Palmer came away with a 80-77 win to send the Rangers back to the 4A Final 4.
The Rangers led by as many as seven in the fourth quarter, but the Jaguars just wouldn't quit.
After getting it to overtime, Joel Scott was able to gave Lewis-Palmer a two-point lead, but a tip-in at the buzzer tied the game once again.
Scott and Angelo Battistelli each scored 19 for the Rangers.
