State wrestling's 285-pound bracket in 4A redrawn due to injury

AURORA — An injury has forced the redraw of the 285-pound bracket in Class 4A for this weekend's state wrestling tournament.

Montrose senior Sam Distel, the top seed in that weight, was injured on Monday night. As a result, he is unable participate in the tournament.

Distel has been replaced by Palisade sophomore Ricardo Valenzuela, who was the fifth-place finisher out of Region 4.

Because Distel was seeded, that also caused the bracket to be redrawn, with the inclusion of Valenzuela.

Windsor's Victor Bravo is now the top seed in that bracket.

The redrawn bracket is available on the tournament's homepage.
