Girls lacrosse rankings: Kent Denver moves into top 5

Mullen Colorado Academy girls lacrosse

Mullen girls lacrosse is up to No. 2. (Jeff Tucker/jefferywtucker.zenfolio.com)

There may not have been any new teams added to this week's CHSAANow.com girls lacrosse rankings, but there was certainly plenty of movement.

Colorado Academy held on to their spot at No. 1, but the rest of the poll has a very different feel from a week ago.

Mullen (No. 2) and Denver East (No. 3) each climbed one spot from last week, giving the top three spots somewhat of a different look.

Kent Denver made a two-spot jump to come in at No. 4.

Chaparral also jumped two spots and lands at No. 8 this week.

The rankings, voted upon by coaches and select media members, are the official polls of the Association. During the regular season, they are released each Monday.

Complete rankings for all classes are below.

Note: Cherry Creek's schedule on MaxPreps listed a loss to Aspen during the voting period. That loss was actually a junior varsity game, and was later removed, but it may have affected voting this week.
